I'm 23 and dealing with tuberculosis, and I'm on medication for it. But lately, I've developed pulmonary fibrosis, and I'm super concerned about what's next. Is there any way to treat or even cure pulmonary fibrosis? My doctor mentioned it's irreversible but suggested that maybe it's not so bad since I'm young. Is it true that being young might help with managing this? I've read that people with pulmonary fibrosis might only live up to 35 yearsthat's really worrying me. Is there hope or treatment options out there?

View allI'm wondering if it's common for someone with TB on medication to have trouble breathing, feel chest tightness, or experience restlessness at times. I've also been diagnosed with LRTI and had a tuberculous pleural effusion that was drained. The doctors mentioned something about possibly having sarcoidosis too, and I'm a bit worried. Is this something that can happen?
yes

I've had an x-ray done today, and it shows that my diaphragm is a bit elevated. I dont have a cough, but I'm feeling some chest pain on the right side when I take a deep breath. I'm a bit worried and am wondering what could be causing this. I don't smoke and I've never had asthma. Do you think this pain will go away on its own? What other issues could this possibly be?
there might be variuos reasons for elevated diaphragm, but seeing your symptoms it might be related to increased liver size, check your bilirubin levels

I'm really worried about this pleural empyema situation. If there's a 100ml buildup, do antibiotics alone help clear it up, or would it definitely need to be drained? I've heard different things and I'm not sure what to expect.
antibiotics alone not be alone
