Have been facing this problem for years now. He has dried skin on buttocks and it itches a lot. Often leaves red marks and the skin keep peeling off all the time. He has been using onabet lotion but that doesn't make a lot of difference.

Use a combination of Clotrimazole cream and Hydrocortisone cream. Apply a thin layer of Clotrimazole cream (such as Canesten) followed by a thin layer of Hydrocortisone cream (such as Cortaid) on the affected area twice a day for 2 weeks. Make sure to keep the area clean and dry to prevent further irritation. If the symptoms persist, consult a dermatologist for further evaluation.
