  5. I had a chest X-ray back in 2013 when I was dealing with breathlessness and a cold. The report said "Both Hila are congested with increased broncho vascular markings suggestive of lower respiratory tract infection with bilateral paracardiac patchy segmental pneumonitis," but all other parameters were normal. Since Im trying to move to the UAE and need a scar-free chest X-ray for medical approval, is there any chance these markings could be treated or considered as scars? Ive been fine for the past three years with no breathing issues, though I do get occasional cold and cough. My IGE levels were also really high at the time, and Ive quit smoking for almost three years now. What do you think?

Old chest X-ray findings of increased broncho-vascular markings or pneumonitis typically resolve without leaving scars if the infection was treated properly. Since you've had no breathing issues and have quit smoking, it's unlikely these would appear as scars now. A fresh X-ray and consultation with a pulmonologist should clarify this.
