  5. Hi doc, Ive been using Elocon cream for about two months, but only on my chin area. Recently, Ive developed like 100 pimples all over my chin and jawline, and its spreading down to my lower face. I tried using Retin-A, but it made the acne worse. I also took antibiotic pills, but they didnt help, and now Im using Fusidin cream (2% antibiotic) but its not working either. Its been over 10 days, and the acne hasnt improved. Ive also started Acutret recently. Could this be a side effect from the Elocon cream? If so, how long will this last, and what can I do to improve it?

Elocon cream (mometasone) can cause skin issues like acne, especially with prolonged use. This reaction might be a rebound effect or steroid-induced acne.Considering you've already tried various treatments, it's essential to consult a dermatologist for personalized guidance. They may recommend alternative treatments or adjust your current regimen. In the meantime, consider the following:1. Stop using Elocon cream.2. Continue Acutret (isotretinoin) as directed by your dermatologist.3. Maintain good skincare hygiene and use non-comedogenic products.
