Cardiac Condition

I am a NRI residing in UAE. In October I developed mild cardiac condition. Went to Navi Mumbai, my home and approached my Family Doctor & friend Dr Manoj Chadda of Hope & care. Learning abt my symptoms, he spoke to Dr Sanjeev Kalkekar a cardiac expert. I was reassured by my friend about capabilities & fairness of Dr Kalkekar. I had failed TMT by a margin. He saw my angiogram & felt need for pasty for 1 block (80%). I consulted him in his CURA center along with Dr Akshat Chadda, Dr Manoj’s son & my daughter. It was final that plasty has to be done. I reported at Apollo on 6/12/23 morning for Angioplasty. On operating table while angiography was being done, he noticed that the block didn’t appear to be 80%. He took views from various angles & I could hear conversation between him & his colleague Dr Kashyap about not going ahead with Stent placement. Medically they were correct but me & my family had to consulted. I told him while 70% procedure is done, he should place the stent. He didn’t agree to my logic that if it’s around 70%, it may deteriorate to 80 or more sometime soon. He advised that stent has its own risks & should be avoided if possible. Then I requested him to speak to Dr Chadda & my cousin Dr Shimpa in DY Patil hospital in Kolhapur. He assured both of them & my family that this was the best for me. He however, decided to do another test called FFR a newer cardiac analytic tool. This I was explained that it measures drop in pressure of blood from one end of blocked artery to the other side. He told that there is a range. If the drop is within the permissible limit the the result is negative. The group including my family & docs on my side agreed & it was performed. The out come gave all of us happiness & satisfaction as it turned out negative. Dr Kalkekar’s face brightened & satisfied that his observations were correct. I was happy as he said, go home in the evening & go to Dubai tomorrow. He said he will correct my condition by changed medication. I was happy, so was my family. It not only avoided un necessarily Angioplasty, my avoidable hospital stay for a couple of days, but also I saved over 1.5 to 1.75L INR cost. I thanked him & his team & appreciated his concern for his patients on top of it his fairness. I would highly recommend him to any one who needs a fair & care by a qualified, professional treatment. full heart check up

Very Friendly Doctor. After Diagnose of my Case he didn't recommended any Medicines. Only Precautionary Tests to make myself assured that I don't have Heart Issues.

valve disease

One of the best cardiologist in Navi Mumbai. The doctor is honestly the best one I have ever seen. He's very friendly, with a constant smile on his face, clearly amiable. Would definitely recommend anyone to visit him if you are thinking of visiting here. He would ensure that patient makes always happy & smiling in his clinic. The OPD clinic is well maintained. The staff are very co operative and helpful.

heart attack

We recently had a very satisfying and reassuring experience with Dr Kalkekar at Appollo Hospital, Navi Mumbai. My mother in law, 82 years, had suffered a massive heart attack and was rushed to Appollo Hospital, Navi Mumbai in a very delicate & critical condition. We were lucky & blessed to be under Dr Kalkekar’s care. A fantastic professional and he was very calm, comforting, confident & reassuring from the outset. He quickly assessed the situation and took charge of the situation. After 2 months under his care my mother in law is significantly better and most of her vital indicators are substantially better. She is almost normal now and most importantly her self confidence, cheer and penchant to live has also improved significantly. We, as a family, remain grateful to Dr Sanjeev & the Appollo team for an absolute world class treatment. Thank You Doctor — you are truly world class!!! We need more like you to make a big difference to this world!!

breathlessness issue

Had a very remarkable experience from being extremely breathless and not able to take even a few steps without panting,,,thx to Dr Kalkekar I am within 6 days feeling fully back to normal and able to walk freely without any breathlessness. It’s a very invigorating feeling and a true miracle. I am confident with Dr Kalkekar that he will be able to reverse my situation of heart failure and normalise my health very soon.
