Dr Atul Taneja has conducted several research projects along with the original inventors of medical laser and phototherapy technologies at the Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School, USA. Much of the initial work for lasers used in treating conditions like psoriasis, vitiligo, scalp psoriasis, lichen planus was done by Dr Atul Taneja. He has also conducted research on extracorporeal photopheresis for skin diseases, narrow band phototherapy for Lichen Planus and on the 1st fibre optic device for treatment of psoriasis. Dr Atul Taneja is still actively involved in research, and his ongoing projects are on artificial intelligence and skin imaging. His research papers have been published in leading peer-reviewed national and international journals and textbooks and these technologies are now commonly used all across the world.
