However, factors like nutritional imbalance, hormonal imbalance, pregnancy, stress, environmental impacts, and other systemic diseases can disturb the hair cycle leading to more hair entering the shedding phase and resulting in accelerated hair loss.”

1. Thyroid Disorders: Loss of hair can be a symptom of thyroid problems including hypothyroidism (an underactive thyroid) or hyperthyroidism (an overactive thyroid). Hypothyroidism, in which the thyroid gland fails to produce enough hormones, slows the development of several body systems, including hair growth.
